Welcome to Roto Rebel! I'm Jonathan Gangi, creator of this site. You may know me from my columns on rotoworld.com, foxsports.com, usatoday.com, and nbcsports.com. I wrote a baseball column called Outside the Boxscore, a football column called The Smash Mouth, and a basketball column called TruRankings. I also wrote and edited for Fantasy Sports Monthly magazine and have appeared on ESPN Radio and other radio stations.
Now I've created my own site, so that I can bring you the kind of analysis and entertainment that is lacking elsewhere. I aim to bring useful insights/research, have some fun, and involve my readers as much as possible.
In the near term, I plan to post position breakdowns for the upcoming baseball season that will cover the sleepers, potential busts, undervalued players, and overvalued players at every position. I'm also thinking of putting together TruRankings of players based on my mathematical formula (and not one writer's guesswork!). When the season starts, I'll bring back my team-name competition. For those of you who were fans of my interactive mailbag section called "The Trash Dump," I'll probably be bringing that back as well. And, as always, I'll be offering my commentary on the unique and colorful culture of fantasy sports. Thanks for visiting, and I hope you return soon!
