Let’s start off with the Super Bowl of team-name competitions: Most Clever Team Name. After all, everyone hopes to earn some “league cred” by concocting the most ingenious moniker in fantasy land.
The most clever name ever submitted to one of my contests was “Toucans of Whoopass.” This name belonged to a team with dual owners (thus two cans of whoopass versus the one measly can most threaten to break out) and came complete with a logo of a toucan holding a can of “whoopass” in each hand, er, wing.
Another winner was “Haas of Payne” submitted by dual owners whose last names you can probably guess.
