Fantasy Basketball: 2009-10 Scheduling Notes

Here are some scheduling points you'll want to consider:

  • Starting in Week 11, Miami has five consecutive weeks with four games. In fact, with two games during All-Star week (Week 16) and four games the following week, you could say they have the best possible schedule for seven straight weeks...if not for the fact that one team (Orlando) has three games in Week 16. With that in mind, this would be the perfect time to take a flyer on Dorell Wright.
  • Toronto is at the beginning of a dreadful 11-week stretch in which they have just one week (Week 13) with four games. Feel free to dump Amir Johnson if he's taking up space on your bench.
  • New Orleans have five straight weeks with four games beginning in Week 11.
  • After Week 13, Boston has the best schedule in the NBA. So trading for one of the C's in Week 12 would be ideal.
  • Dallas has three games in five of the next six weeks. Time to dump any fringe Mavericks on your squad, such as Jose Juan Barea (unless you have ample bench spots).
  • Denver has three games in each of the next four weeks.
  • Houston has a weak schedule through the All-Star break with only one four-game week and just one game during All-Star week.
  • The Lakers have a strong schedule through the All-Star break with only one three-game week (Week 12) and two games during All-Star week.
