Evan Turner Turns it on
Evan Turner broke out for 21 points (on 8 of 12 shooting), six rebounds, and four assists. Equally as encouraging, he logged 30 minutes for the first time this year. Is this the start of something good for the talented sophomore who was taken with the 2nd pick in the 2010 draft? Well it's possible. That said, Lou Williams, Turner's competition for minutes, has certainly earned his playing time. (In fact, he's the 58th ranked player in terms of per-minute value according to Basketball Monster's rankings.) But Williams played a season low 21 minutes tonight. While it's very possible Doug Collins was going with the hot hand, this should just reinforce that Turner deserves to be firmly planted on your radar if not stashed on your bench.
